Just moved to University Hills and was looking for a new breakfast spot. I read that the wait time here can be long. Guess we got lucky. We went during the Memorial Day weekend. While the lot was full, the place was basically empty. So does that mean the food is "mid," as one ruthless one-star reviewer stated? Quite the contrary. I ordered the breakfast brioche sandwich, with scrambled eggs and no bacon. Wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised by what arrived. The eggs were scrambled to perfection. And that brioche was soft and buttery. But what really set this sandwich apart was the aioli. Wow. Cool vibe here. Nice staff. We'll definitely be back.

I was fortunate enough to go while the wait time was short. It started getting busier as I left. And I've been told it gets VERY busy. This place is perfect for cafe enthusiasts! Staff is friendly and helpful. They were able to accommodate out requests and were happy to do so. I ordered the Horchata Latte warm. I used oatmilk. It was perfect! Not overly sweet, perfect amount of cinnamon. I loved the flavor. Since I had it at the cafe, it was served in a ceramic mug. Great touch! My party also had the cold brew with oat milk. The coffee tasted delicious. But the best part was the breakfast bagel!! I can honestly say this is the most amazing bagel sandwich I have ever had. Your choice of bagel (I got plain) with egg (your choice on how it's cooked) with thick slices if bacon, swiss cheese and Chipotle sauce. I will be coming back for the bagel sandwich!

the caffinated beverages here are outstanding as are the salads, and the food in general is just really really well done. I would not get the breakfast burrito's however, they need alot of work. Not worth going out of your way for, but i would drive 20 minutes to check this place out. The service is solid counter service with them delivering your food and the ambiance is average. It is nice and quiet so you can have a solid conversation though.

This little hole in the wall popped up in places I should try in this area and it didn't disappoint. This place is family owned, the place has cultural photographs, mugs and coffee. The coffee comes directly from Guatemala and is women owned plantations. It's like a little coffee shop you grab some food and do some work or just have a small meet up. The service was pretty good, you pay and then pick a spot to sit. They girls will Come around to ask if everything is okay. We got a Cesar chicken wrap, and a matcha ginger scone I believe it was. It was honestly pretty good! The wrap was pretty big, I had half Togo home. They do close a little early though which is a little bit of a bummer but honestly over all recommend. Also, I found it a little hard to find parking, but on the weekends there's a lot to park in.

We didn't know what to get so we asked what the best options were... we were told either the breakfast burrito or the brioche sandwich. We ended up getting the brioche breakfast sandwich and were not disappointed! It was delicious and came with a side salad. To drink we had the matcha and dolce de leche latte, both were great! The food came out super fast and the service was super friendly! The interior is cozy with lots of seating! I saw another review about the tables being a little wobbly and agree but it didn't bother us too much. Definitely a great spot on city terrace!

La Terraza Cafe is a cute little local coffee house specializing in a variety of coffee, cold drinks, pastries, sandwiches, etc. This coffee shop is located in East LA near a public library. I like their interior decor particularly the art paintings hanging throughout the cafe. Similarly, the cafe's layout was spacious. Atmosphere was relaxing with good background music. I arrived early Friday morning to grab breakfast. I was perfunctorily greeted by a female server at the counter. She was patient enough to wait while I perused their menu as a first time customer. I ordered a buttermilk waffle with assorted berries and a café au lait. Breakfast was modest in taste and flavor; serving was of average size. Coffee was perfectly brewed. Service was impeccable. Prices were economically expensive. Street parking only. Overall, I had a good dine-in experience and had a good breakfast.

Great little spot to grab breakfast or lunch. We ordered the Smoked Salmon (lox) Bagel Sandwich, plain waffle and iced horchata latte. Our Order was brought to us quickly. This is great place to have breakfast, coffee and get some virtual work done.

Really delicious French toast and a great shareable portion. The bagel was a little spicy, but good. Being that it was cold outside inside the restaurant was just as cold. Idk why it's so cold in there The food was great, but my only complaint was the tables:. We moved three times because the tables were wobbly and was kind of uncomfortable. We ended up just staying at the third table even though it kept moving. I didn't want to move and go looking for a good table. Each time I put my drink down the table would move. That was a little annoying. The food was great and the service was also great.
